For the first time ever, I am thrilled to be attending the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. After over 18 years working in communications and public relations, it is the first time that I am mingle professionally as a “Writer”. One of the most important events in the children’s publishing industry, with 1,400 exhibitors and approximately 30,000 visitors, it is truly breathtaking. I have no expectations (though of course a publishing contract for one of my picture books would be great!), other than to enjoy being surrounded by everything related to children’s books, be it the publishing houses, writers, editors or illustrators.
