About me

Ever since I was very young, I have always loved to write and at every opportunity, be it for the school magazine or the local paper when I took my motorbike test, I was eager to offer to put pen to paper.

After realizing that my first job as a Technical Writer was a bit too, well, “technical” for me, I spent the next 18 years in varying roles in communications and public relations, culminating as Head of Communications & PR at an international M&A firm. Though writing has played an important role throughout my career, it was only recently that my love for storytelling led me to decide to write full-time.

So, when I’m not writing children’s stories or blogging about my Russian tortoises Txomin and Arthur (yes, they have their own website, but doesn’t every tortoise?), I’m editing and writing for an international finance company – just to keep my hand in the game and to help fund the copious amounts of food and extravagant gifts that Txomin and Arthur get through!

Txomin and Arthur

Two Fish in a Bowl, A Dog Called Woof and The Perfect Bag, are the first of what I hope will be many books that started out as ramblings inside my head and words desperate to get out onto paper.

By the way, none of these picture books would even exist, without the work of the fantastic illustrators – early on, it was extremely obvious, that I can’t draw for toffee and for those of you that know me personally, I love toffee!

Well, tally ho and off I go,
it’s back to the keyboard for me
With a cup of Tetley and a custard cream,
there’s no place I’d rather be.
