Callis, the Publishing House in Brazil that I met at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, have offered me a publishing contract for 2 of my children’s picture book stories; A Dog Called Woof (to be illustrated by Romont Willy, an amazing Brazilian writer and illustrator) and The Perfect Bag (to be illustrated by the very talented writer and illustrator, Eva Santana, who has been my mentor during this journey). Not surprisingly, I am thrilled! All the preparation for the fayre and furious writing to finish-off stories that had been in my head for years, has paid off. Am looking forward to seeing how this evolves – though they did say it can take up to a year for the books to be published, so I need to be patient and not get too excited… yet…
